  Vladimir Putin accepted resignation of the Head of the Republic of Mordovia Nikolai Merkushkin

  The President signed Executive Order On Early Termination of the Mandate of the Head of the Republic of Mordovia. Vladimir Volkov was appointed acting Head of the Republic of Mordovia.

The resignation was accepted following Head of the Republic of Mordovia Nikolai Merkushkin’s request for an early termination of his mandate.

Vladimir Volkov was appointed acting Head of the Republic of Mordovia.

 

Vladimir Putin submitted candidacies for the posts of heads of Mordovia and Samara Region

The President submitted for consideration by the State Assembly of the Republic of Mordovia the candidacy of Vladimir Volkov for the post of the Head of the Republic.

Vladimir Putin also submitted for consideration by the Samara Regional Duma the candidacy of Nikolai Merkushkin for the post of Samara Region Governor.

Vladimir Putin sent his congratulations to Vladimir Volkov on his official investiture as Head of the Republic of Mordovia.

The message reads, in part:

“Over these years in the civil service you have gained the knowledge and experience that you will need in this important office. I am sure that you will make the utmost effort to develop the region’s economy and social sector and improve people’s lives.”
